Why This Election Matters

Primary elections are where the real decisions get made.

Missouri's August 4, 2026 primary carries weight far beyond a typical primary election. Voters will decide four constitutional amendments that touch core questions of taxation, the proper role of government, and who gets to amend Missouri's foundational law. These aren't ordinary ballot measures — they reshape the rules under which Missouri governs itself.

Voters will also choose the candidates who'll appear on the November general election ballot for the Missouri House and Senate. In a state where many districts are effectively decided in the primary, August is where the real choices happen — not November.

Act for Missouri's commitment is the same on every race and every measure: tell you the facts, present both sides honestly, share where we stand and why, and respect your judgment. We don't tell you how to vote. We help you make sure your vote reflects what you actually believe — and that you have the information to defend it.
